What is EFT?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a self-help method utilizing the body’s energy system. A gentle fingertip "tapping” works to activate the significant energy meridians of the body’s subtle energy system. 5000 years back Chinese acupuncture discovered that the energy flows through certain points called meridian and if we activate those medians it will help balance the energy, which results in a strong healing effect. Chinese acupuncture uses the needles to activate certain meridians to have that healing effect. In EFT the same meridians are used, accept needles. Here the finger tips are used to tap on certain meridians. It is called “acupuncture without needles, in the words of the Founder Mr. Gary Craig. It is easy to learn and flexible enough to be used by anyone.
As we use EFT for ourselves, we become empowered to respond to our own emotional states and help ourselves feel better more quickly. It helps to see the matter in perspective and helps to activate the body’s natural healing powers.
It helps to alleviate pain, get rid of limiting beliefs, overcome fears and phobias, attract a state of abundance and lots more.
EFT tapping effectively forms the bridge between talk therapies and energy helaings. EFT is a simple and powerful therapeutic tool that uses words to tune into an emotional disturbance which is then balanced and cleared using tapping on certain energy meridians.. It is often called “tapping” or “the tapping therapy.”
The results of EFT are surprisingly quick and generally lasting. It does not claim that every issue can be solved in a session or two or in a day or two, some issues may take long but the relief one gets is generally long lasting and many a time very surprising even to clients. Strong emotions such as fear, anger, shame and sadness dissolve into clear thinking. After EFT sessions the person involved has fresh view and the ability to move forwards and get on with life. EFT is a simple and empowering technique that can be used together with a variety of therapies and treatments. It is also used to enhance personal effectiveness, self help and attracting abundance. Try EFT for yourself (right) and to learn more about how to use EFT to help yourself or others, consider an EFT training course.
This simple tool for emotional self help was developed in the early nineties by Gary Craig, a personal performance coach a background in business and a university education in engineering. Derived initially from Thought Field Therapy, EFT uses a unified approach that does not require diagnosis.
